A Wednesday Hindi Movie

Cast: Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher, Jimmy Sheirgill, Aamir Bashir
Director: Neeraj Pandey

The Commissioner of Police (Anupam Kher) Mumbai receives an annoymous(naseeruddin shah) Phone call. The calls threatens for a series of bomb blasts in the city if his demands are not met. The police find a bomb and then trace game begins for the caller.

The movie has got a good climax.

Robot is now Yantram

Shankars Robot Starring Rajnikanth has been renamed to Yantram. This was a big blow to shankar and they were forced to change the name as Shahrukh Khans Red chillies had registered the title Robot and nine other titles based on it.

The Nine titles are Robot, Mein Hoon Robot, Mera Robot, Pyara Robot, Robot a Hero, Robot Hoon Mein, Robot My Hero, Robotics, Robott. It also clearly indicates that Red Chillies will be making a film titled Robot.The titles were registered with the Association of Motion Pictures and TV Programme Producers (AMPTPP) in Mumbai, by King Khan’s company.

The official reason given out is that as per Tamilnadu government rule only films with Tamil titles are eligible for entertainment tax exemption.

Malayalam actor Mohanlal (48) has completed 3 decades in the film industry on wednesday (3rd september 2008).

His friends threw a surprise party on the occassion to celebrate the achievement.

The actor faced the camera for the first time Sep 3, 1978 for ‘Thiranottam’, a film which was never screened.After that he had to wait for another two years. Then he made his mark as a villain in the mega box office hit ‘Manjil Virinja Pookal’ and since then he has never looked back.

Mohanlal’s Red Chillies Malayalam Movie is directed by Shaji Kailas. Red Chillies is said to be a suspense thriller. In this film Mohanlal plays as Omar, an NRI businessman who has settled in Gulf and runs a radio station in Kerala.

Omar is an impeccable personality with multi-lingual talents and can speak in English, Arabic and Malayalam fluently. All his female staffs are madly in love with him and he always communicates through e-mails to his female jockeys.

Four poor young men get into an extraordinary situation on an ordinary day and how they manage to come out of it is the story of “Saroja”. One of the main characters, Siva, is a television actor and he marries Kajal Agarwal. The wedding reception was shot at a mansion on East Coast Road, Chennai, earlier this month. The reception was literally star-studded.

Prakashraj and Jayaram play important roles along with Siva, Vaibhav (son of director Kothandarami Reddy), Saran and Premji Ameran. Premji and Brahmanandam handle the comedy track. A highlight is a traffic jam scene filmed at a huge cost, using about 200 buses, Lorries and other vehicles.
